Santa Maria Madalena & São Vicente

We'd now arrived in the north-west of Madeira where the trade winds constantly blow heavily laden clouds in from the Atlantic (one of the reasons for Madeira's vegetation success is the high humidity and condensation from clouds even when not raining).

This ramshackle shed caught our eye
The viewpoint near Santa Maria Madalena, looking eastwards

As I said before, land is used no matter how precarious
This waterfall was near Seixal (pronounced say-shal)
After lunch near São Vicente we had a quick stroll on the volcanic beach

That's the 360º restaurant behind Jim & Les
