Continuing our coach trip we visited Ribeira Brava (translates as wild river) on the south-west coast of the island.

| Yellow taxis are everywhere in Madeira |

| and larger, darker lizards than we see in La Tranche. |

| There's a small harbour |
 |
| and a tunnel under the high cliffs |
 |
| leading to a black volcanic rocky bay. |
 |
| We also visited the beautiful church |
 |
| complete with tiled decorations. |
 |
| The river is only 8 km long and was very inoffensive the day we visited, but watch the YouTube video to see how things were in February 2010. |
